Rebecca + David. Married at Riu in the Dominican Republic.

A few months back I was asked by my buddy, Aron, if I was free mid April for a wedding.  Little did I know it was going to be a wedding out of the country.  I think the conversation went a little bit like this: Aron:  Mike, do you want to 2nd shoot a wedding for me in the Domincan Republic in April. Me:  Yes.

It wasn't a hard decision.  I could tell you I had to ponder over it and make it fit into my schedule but then I'd be lying.   I did, however, think of my wife.  She would be home with our kids taking care of everything while I was in the Caribbean, basically lounging ... and doing a bit of work.  But fortunately I have a kick ass wife who urges me to explore and get out there.

So the trip happened and it was a freaking blast.  While I admit the location wasn't too shabby, the people made it even better.  The wedding party, and guests, were all amazing.  I never felt like an outsider and everyone was in such a fantastic mood.  Yeah, they were on a island for a wedding so its hard NOT to be happy, but besides that they were just ... awesome.  I made quite a few new friends there and for that, I'm thankful.

Enough rambling and on to some pics.  I'm posting a few of my favorites from the wedding first.  For the FULL event and real deal, check out Aron's view of the day ... he is stellar.  I have some images from a bridal session we did AND some personal shots as well.  I'll get to posting them soon.  For now, this shall do:
