Music is a big part of my life.  It inspires.  It moves.  It keeps me going.

So when you have the chance to personally meet a musician whose music inspires you tremendously, its a big thing.

Enter Katie Herzig.

Katie performed at World Cafe Live in Philly a few weeks back and I had the wonderful and amazing opportunity to photograph her prior to the show.  Photography has dished out some pretty wicked moments for me in the past year or so and this is definitely one of them.  I could have asked talked and asked questions to her for hours – capturing the emotions and mood.  But unfortunately, I only had 20 minutes.  Or maybe, fortunately for her.  Ha!  So with that window i was given … i did what i do.  Took pictures.  It was an experience I’ll always remember.  How can i not, I have the pictures to remember it by.

So thank you Katie.  Thank you for allowing me to do this.  You are crazy talented and I hope music takes you wherever you want to go.  I’ll be here.  Listening.

Alison + Mac were married on the hottest day of the summer.  And it was outside.  Fortunately, we stopped for some food at Rouge during their portrait session allowing us to cool off.

How do you define a wedding in one sentence?  Most of the time you can’t … but i will for Janine & Dan:

Alien Particle Ghost People … Ew.

Yup, thats it.  Don’t get it?  Don’t worry, you won’t … only they will.  Want me to explain it?  I’ll try but it probably doesn’t do it much justice … I say random things throughout the day and those words are a combo of all those things.  Janine & Dan thought it was hilarious so we kept adding to it.

I think it sums up this wedding well … fun, funny, good times, good people and ghosts.
