Finding an amazing new location is fun, so when Brian emailed me suggesting Terrain at Steyers I was immediately stoked to shoot there. Of course, there was about 2ft of snow on the ground since the Philly area was hammered this winter, but it didn’t stop us from having a wonderful session and a great time.
Perhaps i should start previewing sessions more. Here is a wonderful image from Karen+Brian’s engagement session that i’ll be posting soon.
Simply put, this is why i love film so much!
Back in late November I had the wonderful opportunity to meet up with, and assist, the ever so wonderful Bonnie Tsang. This wedding was held in Brooklyn at Stage 6 at Steiner Studios … which as you can see, has an amazing view from the rooftop.
I love assisting other photographers. The pressure is not on you and you have a chance to step back and capture the moments of a wedding that you sometimes don’t get a chance to see when you are running the show. Which is why, I’m excited to assist Bonnie again later this year, as well as a few other wonderful photographers stopping by the Philly area.
14 years.
The last time it was as cold in Dallas as it was for Ramiza & Wahaj’s wedding was 14 years ago. In fact, it was colder in Dallas then it was in Philly that 2nd weekend in January. Fortunately, Wahaj is from Connecticut, so he is used to the cold … same for me living in Philly. Ramiza, not so much 
But she was a trooper and brushed off the cold and did what we needed to. But just like lots of other weddings with odd weather situations, the wedding went on … and in the end, they were married. This wedding consisted of 3 beautiful events over 3 days. The one posted here was on Friday, which was the day of the actual ceremony.
Congratulations Ramiza & Wahaj, we’ll make sure the next time we meet up it is somewhere warm!
I snagged these iPhone frames on a fun shoot with my friend Lynnia … who i did a session for a couple months back. These shots are using the ShakeItPhoto app which i highly recommend.
