I love these kind of sessions. No rush. No worry. No restraints. As a photographer, is there really anything better?

Carly and Rick married several weeks ago. While they visited Paris on their honeymoon, they also scheduled a week at a cabin close to their hearts. They’ve been going to this exact cabin, which in the NJ pine barrens, every year since they met. So when they asked to do a session here after their wedding my face lit up.

So here it is. A few hours of hanging out and doing anything we wanted.

Ali called me while back and asked me to do some beach shots for her portfolio. Oddly enough, we were both heading to the Jersey Shore that following week so we set something up. Although we were hoping for a sunrise, we ended up getting clouds. [ insert your own joke about Ali heating it up - being hot - sunny - whatever floats your boat ] No worries though. We still had a blast and snagged a few good shots.

April is one of those crazy weather months in the Northeast. You could be blessed with an amazing, 70 degree day full of sunshine and warmth. Or you could, dare i say “blessed,” with a 35 degree day with 40mph winds and rain – just miserable. For Grace + Mike, they got both ends of the spectrum over one weekend. Friday was gorgeous … one of those spring teaser days. Saturday, their wedding day, was a completely different story. Flood, wind, and storm warnings were posted up and down the coast and of course, its much worse at the beach which is where their wedding was being held. Fortunately inside.

None of this mattered to them though. It was awesome to see Grace and Mike have a blast regardless of the weather. They quite literally blew it off (pun intended). It didn’t matter what mother nature would throw at them that day .. they were getting married. And thats what mattered the most.
