Laura and Shawn will be married later this year … and I get to do a little engagement shoot with them soon.  In the meantime though i got to hang with them after a recent photoshoot.  Hanging out i managed to capture a few shots of them … although mostly of Laura … as I was giving Shawn some quick tutorials – he has gotten into the world of photography.  I just thought i’d post these as some turned out awesome.

Up next?  an engagement shoot that we managed to get done during a snowstorm AND a WICKED model shoot that combines rich reds, blues and played out like a fairy tale.

The 1hr traffic jam to go 1.5 miles thru the Holland Tunnel was easily forgotten once i met this beautiful couple.  And the fact they both braved the cold combined with an easy 25mph wind along the river was just crazy.  If my fingers were going numb i can’t imagine what her feet felt like in those heels !!!  BUT … i think the images they got were totally worth it … NYC is like a photographer’s playground and i could have EASILY spent so many more hours with them.  Not only was it awesome because there are endless locations … but Meredith & Billy were so awesome to work with.  They braved a lot with me and never questioned anything at all … good work you guys … congratulations and enjoy the beautiful images

The good thing about 2nd shooting a wedding is that most of the pressure is off of you.  The good thing about 3rd shooting a wedding … well, everything  I had the pleasure of backing up a couple photographers (Alisa Karn Photography) at my wife’s awesome friend Suzanne’s wedding.  I realized quickly this would be awesome since my wife was IN the wedding and i would get to spend most of the day with her  As the 3rd photographer I got a chance to see different angles to a wedding … some of which i never noticed … and also photograph things happening on the side – which usually happened to be funny.  So … here’s my take on 3rding (yup, thats a word in my vocabulary) a wedding … enjoy !!

A congratulations is in order for Joanna and her fiance Matt … first for their recent engagement & second, for their pregnancy.  Joanna was referred to me by a friend and we squeezed in a last minute maternity session before Christmas … with a couple days to spare she was able to provide a picture ( a teaser if you will) to Matt as a gift.  Hopefully he loved it and I’m excited for them to see them all !!
