Where to start.
I've always been the artist type ... drawing, music, etc.
The attraction to photography was always there but until
a few years ago, I never pursued it. But life is a trip.
And certain events in your life alter the direction you were
heading. For me, that was the birth of my daughter. It was
then I learned, for real, how to use a camera.
Fast forward a few years.
When you can't imagine doing anything else, then you know
you are doing something right. Photography is my passion
... its not a job, its not work, its just what I do. And
I can't imagine doing anything else. I don't even want
to imagine it. I am fortunate enough to have found this
artform to enhance my life and I strive to produce amazing
and unique results to enhance yours. I am here to make
you happy.

Philadelphia Wedding Photographer

Ash Imagery is an on location wedding and portrait photographer with a fresh
and unique approach to weddings serving the Philadelphia region. Ash Imagery
specializes in weddings, engagements, portraits, maternity, boudoir, model, fashion,
and senior photography.
While Ash Imagery (Michael Smith) travels around the country and world as a destination
wedding photographer, Michael Smith primarily serves the Philadelphia area. This
area includes the counties of Montgomery, Bucks, Lehigh, Berks, Philadelphia,
Delaware, Chester, Carbon, and Lancaster. Other areas covered include New Jersey, New York, Washington DC, Virginia, and
Delaware. Baltimore, and Wilmington. This also includes cities such as
Ocean City, Sea Isle City, Wilmington, Cherry Hill, New York City, Scranton and
the Poconos, and Baltimore. In addition to all these locations, Michael
also travels the world photographing weddings.
Commercial Photographer
Michael specializes in weddings but also does commercial photography for
actors (headshots), actresses (head shots), musicians, models, and retail stores.
Digital and Film Wedding Photographer
In addition to digital cameras, Michael also uses
different film camera's and film to achieve unique and unconventional photography. Other cameras used are by Holga, Mamiya, Nikon, Polaroid and Zeiss while using black and
white film, color film, and cross-processed film. By providing clients
with different formats - each wedding is one of a kind and individually tailored
to each client.
